Russell G. Greig – Chairman - Independent
Russell G. Greig is a doctor of medicine. He spent around 30 years working for the GlaxoSmithKline group, where he was notably Chief Executive Officer for the UK and then Vice-President and Director of European Market Development for SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals.
Following the merger of SmithKline Beecham and Glaxo Wellcome in 2000, Dr Greig was appointed Vice-President of Worldwide Business Development before becoming President of GSK Pharmaceuticals International and then of SR One, the GlaxoSmithKline group’s investment fund.
Alain Munoz- Vice-president - Independent
Alain Munoz holds a doctorate in medicine. After a hospital career , he joined in 1983 Sanofi as Director of the cardiovascular department before being appointed Vice-president of international development. He joined Fournier group in 1990 as research and development Vice-president. In 1993, he became head of the licensing activities of the pharmaceutical division before being appointed Senior Vice president of the group’s pharmaceutical division. Dr. Munoz was also a member of the Scientific board of the French Drug Agency (l’Agence Française du Médicament). Since 2000, he has developed a number of independent activities related to biopharmaceutical investment.
Bernard Chauvin - Independent
Bernard Chauvin, holds a doctorate in Medicine specialized in ophthalmology. He headed Laboratoires Chauvin for 27 years prior to joining Neurotech, a French biotech company, where he served as Chief Executive Officer until 2004. Since 2004, he has actively participated in the development of several pharmaceutical and biotech companies as a director.
Bo Jesper Hansen- Independent
Bo Jesper Hansen is a doctor of medicine. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (listed company), and board member of several. He has held a number of positions within Swedish Orphan International AB since 1993, before becoming Chief Executive Officer in 1998 until 2010. He is also Medical Advisor for several international pharmaceutical Company. He founded Scandinavian Medical Research.
George Lasezkay- Independent
George Lasezkay holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) and a Juris Doctorate. He has experience in the US pharmaceutical industry. Vice President of Corporate Development at Allergan Inc. until 2002, his track record counts over 60 acquisition, alliance and licensing transactions mainly in field of ophthalmology. Since 2002, George Lasezkay has been active as a consultant in the pharmaceutical industry.
Nayan Greg Parekh -Independent
Nayan Greg Parekh is a doctor of economics. Until 2010, he was head of mergers and acquisitions at Novartis AG, overseeing more than 20 deals representing a total of $70 billion, including the acquisition of Alcon (ophthalmology). Before joining Novartis in 2004, he was Vice-President of the healthcare team at Bear Stearns in New York, and then headed up the European Healthcare Group at Deutsche Bank AG in London for six years. He is the founder of the healthcare investment fund New Rhein LLC Healthcare.

Philippe Peltier holds a Master’s degree (DEA) in Molecular Biology from the University de Paris VII and a Master’s degree in finance from ESSEC (Paris). He began his career as an equity analyst with CCF Securities, covering biotech and biopharma public stocks. Since 1999, he is in charge of capital risk investments in the life sciences sector for Auriga Partners.

Raphaël Wisniewski is an investment director at the Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild. He holds a degree from HEC and a degree (DEA) in applied economics (IEP de Paris). He joined the Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild in 2001 after having, in particular, advised companies in the pharmaceutical sector at Goldman Sachs and Salomon Smith Barney.

Rémi Droller holds a postgraduate degree (DEA) in Molecular Biology from the Université de Paris VI and a Master’s degree in Innovation Management and Financing He joined Kurma in 2010 after over 10 years of experience in investment in the health industry. This experience was first acquired by working for CDC Innovation then by working for AGF Private Equity (known today as “IdInvest Partners”) where he developed the business of investing in life sciences.
